ENTRY
FEE: $60.00 per Boat includes Big Bass Contestants can
pre register in person at Scottie's 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday thru
Friday or mail in by February 20th or at the ramp March 1st starts
at 5 a.m. Boat numbers are in order of receiving your registration.
PARKING/RAMP FEE : $5.00
CATCH:
6 Fish per Boat. Singles may keep only 5 Fish minimum 12" sizes
will be enforced. Dead Fish Penalty: .25 oz per Fish. Short Fish
loose weight of small Fish. Late penalty of 1lb per minute disqualification
after 15 min. Late penalty is deducted from any fish entered in
Big Fish category.
RULES:
- Contestants
must stay in the boat together during the tournament hours, no
wading allowed.
- All boats
must have standard Coast Guard approved safety equipment and safe
boating must be observed at all times with both contestants wearing
a chest life preserver any time the main engine is running. It
must be on and fully zipped at all times the boat is moving.
- Each boat
will be given an identification number. Numbers are given on a
first come first serve basis and this system will be used to determine
flight placement.
- NO ALCOHOLIC
BEVERAGES shall be allowed in any boat during the tournament,
or be consumed prior to the weigh-in. No firearms will be allowed
on any boat (law enforcement exempt). Any violation will result
in disqualification.
- Boats must
have an operating live well, or some type of live well system
present. Coolers with air pumps are permitted. This is a catch
and release tournament.
- Fish will
only be accepted from boats docking at weigh-in point. No fish
will be accepted from parking lot area. Do not load your boat
prior to loading your fish. Fish must weighed from water.
- Each team
must provide their own boat, motor and fishing equipment.
- No trolling
is allowed. Only one casting, spin casting, or spinning rod and
reel of a conventional nature may be used at any time. No cane
poles, fly rods, or jig sticks. Only artificial lures may be used,
no live or prepared bait except pork rinds, flipping rods are
allowed.
- Big Fish
will be determined by total weight of one single bass.
- In case of
a boat or motor failure one team member maybe brought in on another
tournament team boat, with both teams fish being separated at
all times. The one member of the non-operating boat team will
be taken back by a tournament staff boat to tow in or fix their
boat.
- Protest or
objections must be submitters in writing within 15 minutes after
weigh-in to the judges. All decisions by the judges will be final.
Failure to comply with any of the above rules may result in disqualification
at the discretion of the tournament staff; all decision will be
final.
- For the safety
of all contestants, ALL BOATS SHOULD BE EQUIPPED WITH SOME TYPE
OF IGNITION KILL SWITCH, IF POSSIBLE. This ignition device should
be attached to the driver's body any time the combustion engine
is operating. A small motor, gas, electric, may be used for slow
maneuvering. Trolling as a method of fishing is not permitted.
